🎭 Join New Wolsey Youth Theatre – Applications Opening Soon for September 2026!
Looking for a space where you can truly be yourself, meet people who inspire you, and make theatre that feels like you?
Applications for New Wolsey Youth Theatre are now open — and we’d love to hear from you.
Led by our Creative Communities team and professional theatre artists, Youth Theatre is a relaxed, supportive and welcoming space where young people can grow in confidence, develop creative skills, and feel included.
For many of our members, Youth Theatre becomes much more than just a weekly session — it’s a safe, encouraging and non-judgemental space between home and school where young people feel accepted, listened to and inspired. It’s somewhere to laugh, be creative, try new things, and be surrounded by passionate leaders and talented young people who encourage each other to grow both on stage and beyond.
We run weekly term-time sessions for young people aged 7–25, where you can:
✨ Make new friends
✨ Explore acting, movement and performance
✨ Build confidence and practical theatre-making skills
✨ Take part in exciting creative projects
✨ Share ideas and create collaboratively
✨ Be part of a supportive creative community
📅 Applications close Friday 3 July, for sessions starting in September 2026.
💬 Who can join?
We want Youth Theatre to feel open and accessible to everyone. We especially welcome young people from:
• The Global Majority
• Deaf and disabled communities
• Neurodivergent communities
• LGBTQIA+ communities
• Lower socio-economic backgrounds
And most importantly — you don’t need any experience at all. Not even school drama. Just bring yourself, your ideas, and a willingness to get stuck in and if you’re curious, we’d love to see what you can bring.
