Single

New Wolsey Theatre, Civic Drive, Ipswich, IP1 2AS

A few more details ...

This show is Season Ticket eligible.

Leah Levine seriously needs to get over her ex-boyfriend. She is thirty-six years old and single.

At twenty, Leah began a career in pop music and had a huge hit song… but the record company told her they didn’t want her singing her own material and that she should lose some weight. Ouch!

Devastated, she developed crippling stage fright and gave up her music to study family law. She became a highly successful divorce attorney, protecting and shepherding women through contentious divorces but the process took its toll on Leah, and she became more and more suspicious of men.

Still… Leah longs for love, and music and so she writes. She writes searingly honest and quirky songs about her feelings and relationships that stir the soul.

Seeking help, she finds Gabriel Weston, her teen pop idol, a faded 90’s pop star with baggage and quirks of his own.
Will she love again? Will she perform?

Featuring a cast of multi-talented actor musicians and produced by the New Wolsey Theatre, the team behind recent musical hits Once, The Season and One Man, Two Guvnors.

The Heart Of A Tiger

New Wolsey Theatre, Civic Drive, Ipswich, IP1 2AS

A few more details ...

This show is Season Ticket eligible.

Ted is feeling pretty darn good thank-you-very much, straight out of chemo and back pulling the strings at Ormond’s Fruit & Veg - a proper grocer’s that he has managed to keep alive amongst the Waitrose and overpriced vegan hipster shops.

Unfortunately he’s come back to a right mess. Stevie’s launching a strike, a bollard has impaled itself on the new van (nothing to do with Colin’s driving), Melanie thinks because she’s run the shop for a minute she can stick her nose into his finances... and the cat’s gone missing.

On top of it all, Jimmy is back infecting the office with his capitalist propaganda. But Ted knows what's best for his staff, he's been on the picket-line for 40 years. And if anyone’s going to exploit his workers, it’s damn well going to be him.

He’s got a plan – an outlandish, ridiculous plan… but one that’s definitely going to work.

Starring BAFTA award nominee Phil Davis, and from the team behind Phillip Ridley’s smash-hit comedy Radiant Vermin, The Heart of a Tiger is about the collision between ideology and survival, keeping up when the world leaves you behind, and the politics of Brussels sprouts.

A few more details ...

Sponsored by Ipswich Building Society.

Dame Dolly Durden’s family farm has fallen on hard times - Squire Snuffbox is demanding the rent and Giant Blunderbore, with his wicked sidekick, Fleshcreep, is terrorising the land. There’s only one thing for it – Jack will have to sell their last remaining cow, Bessie. But when Jack comes back from the market with nothing more than a bag of beans it looks like the Durdens are done for.
Then up pops Fairy Aubergine, up jumps a gigantic beanstalk and Jack is soon on his way up too, battling giants, rescuing the family farm and romancing the Squire’s spirited daughter, Jill.

Brought to you by the famous New Wolsey company of multi-skilled actor musicians, it’s the best of pantomime mixed with the best songs from the classic rock and pop playlist, all played live before your eyes, including 'Hit The Road Jack,' 'Lady Marmalade,' 'Get Offa My Cloud,' 'Go Your Own Way' and many, many more. This glorious mash up of pantomime and pop concert is a festive treat for all the family. This year it’s GIANT size.
