Key Terms:

Auditorium:  The place where you sit to watch the performance.

Front Of House (FOH):  The spaces in the theatre which are open to the public, for example; the café and bar.

Box Office: The place where you can book and/or pick up tickets.

Duty Manager/FOH Manager: This is the person on duty who is responsible for the care and wellbeing of the audience.

Usher: The people who will greet you as you enter the auditorium.  They will ask to see your ticket and will point you in the right direction.

Interval: This is a gap between two halves of the show.  During this time you may leave the auditorium to visit the bar or the toilet.

Pantomime: A musical, comedy stage production designed for family entertainment usually based on a well-known fairy tale, fable or folk tale.

Stage: The place where the performers will present the show.

Show: The theatre performance.
