The New Wolsey Theatre is incredibly proud to share the news that we won both the ‘Positive Impact in the Community’ and ‘Suffolk Business of the Year’ awards at the 2024 East Anglian Daily Times Business Awards ceremony on Thursday 4th July 2024!
The ‘Positive Impact in the Community’ award recognises businesses who understand environmental impact, work to implement sustainable strategies, focus on the local community, have defined values and missions including long-term impact goals and contribute to the wider business community.
The ‘Business of the Year’ award is hand picked by judges who were looking for a brand or organisation which has achieved outstanding things in the last 12 months. The judges assessed factors such as brand profile within its customer audience, community relations, environmental work and much more.
On winning both awards, our Chief Executive & Artistic Director Douglas Rintoul said: “I am absolutely delighted that the New Wolsey Theatre has won the East Anglian Daily Times ‘Positive Impact in the Community Award’ and the overall ‘Business of the Year Award.’ It is brilliant to see an arts organisation and charity like ours being acknowledged by the business community and regional media. This accolade not only highlights the hard work and dedication of our team but also underscores the vital role that the arts play in enriching our community.”
A huge congratulations to all the nominees and winners on the night, as well as everyone associated with the theatre including our staff, board members, volunteers and of course you, our audience, who continue to support us!
