From Thu to Sat 22 September, The New Wolsey Theatre and Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch co-present ONCE, winner of eight Tony Awards® in 2012, including best musical. OTHELLO is one of Shakespeare’s most startlingly contemporary plays. English Touring Opera return to Ipswich on Tue 20 Oct to Sat 3 November with their masterful depiction of a life torn apart by prejudice.
Bryony Lavery’s adaptation of the Alice Sebold novel THE LOVELY BONES opens on Tue 13 to Sat 17 November, in a co-production by Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Royal & Derngate and Northern Stage in Association with Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse. The main character, Susie Salmon, is young and beautiful and has a crush on a boy from school. There’s only one big difference – Susie is dead.
STILL NO IDEA on Mon 24 to Tue 25 September is part verbatim theatre, part-improv, part-comedy sketch show. Packed with raucous and mischievous fun, this exposé of good intentions gone bad is also an adventure story about how we can’t imagine some people having an adventure. Featuring LISA Hammond and Rachael Spence in Association with Improbable.
On Wed 26 to Thu 27 September, Lipservice presents WITHERING LOOKS, a humorously authentic insight into the lives and works of those three Bronte sisters (well, two of them actually; Anne’s just popped out for a cup of sugar…).
