Presented by Unscene Suffolk
Unscene Suffolk – Ipswich’s resident theatre company of visually impaired people – collaborates with Rationale Method to present a brand new devised ensemble show incorporating beatbox enhanced audio description (AD). Inspired by dreams and the natural world and suitable for all the family (age 10+), the piece will be developed by the company through their weekly workshops.
Nathan Geering’s dynamic approach to AD uses vocal sound effects to heighten the experience for both blind and sighted audiences. He was Artistic Director of the Special Olympics Opening Ceremony 2017 and has recently received an Artists’ International Development Fund award to share his practice in South Africa.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to see the show at the New Wolsey Studio before its local community tour.
This is an amateur production presented as part of the New Wolsey’s annual Open Season. Find out more by browsing the Creative Learning section of our website.
