An Irishman, an Englishman and an American - Edward, Michael and Adam - have been kidnapped and are being held hostage in Lebanon. Thrown together in a single cell, struggling to survive and hang on to their sanity, they discover their greatest weapon against their captors is humour.
In an effort to alleviate their boredom, the cell mates share their failings, their ambitions and their paranoia. The banter flows as they tell stories, laugh at and with each other, write imaginary letters home, drink imaginary martinis, shoot imaginary films, play a fantastical game of tennis and throw a
big party for each other.
This is an amateur production presented as part of the New Wolsey’s annual Open Season. Find out more by browsing the Creative Learning section of our website.
