Written by Peter Rowe, and performed in the New Wolsey Theatre’s iconic actor-musician style, this brand new adaptation of the classic tale is brimming with fun, frolics… and flour!

Red Riding Hood owns the best bakery in Soggy-Bottom-In-The-Marsh but when the village party is scattered by the return of the legendary lone Wolf, the wicked Sir Jasper de Ville demands more rent to pay for the added security. So its all hands to the pudding bowl as everyone lends a hand at the bakers, even her grandmother, Dame Millicent Merry , famous for her firm buns and magnificent dumplings! Meanwhile, a handsome woodcutter has arrived in town, who isn’t all he seems to be…Can Red Riding Hood outwit Sir Jasper, avoid the clutches of the sly old wolf and find romance with the mysterious forester?

Rob Falconer — Sir Jasper

Rob trained at Rose Buford College. He is a member of multi-award winning Mischief Theatre Company, and has just returned from Broadway performing in their Tony and Olivier award winning comedy 'The Play That Goes Wrong'.

Theatre roles include: Tinbad the Taylor in 'Sinbad' (New Wolsey Theatre), Tybalt in 'Romeo & Juliet' (Watermill Theatre), Kay in 'The Sword In The Stone' (New Wolsey Theatre), Trevor/Max in 'The Play That Goes Wrong' (Lyceum Theatre Broadway, Duchess Theatre, International Tour), Trevor in 'Peter Pan Goes Wrong' (Pleasance, Islington), 'Lights! Camera! Improvise!' (West End, International Tour), Bull Bill in 'Cool Hand Luke' (Aldwych Theatre) and Sam Byck in 'Assassins' (Unicorn Theatre).

Rob is over the moon to be back in Ipswich for the 3rd year.

Max Runham — Prince Fortunate

Max is from a small village in Kent called Hextable. While training at Rose Bruford, he landed his first TV role, appearing in Hollyoaks. Since then he has appeared in Graeae's production of 'Threepenny Opera', HOME theatre's production of Simon Stephens' 'The Funfair', 'The Family Way' by Bill Naughton at the Bolton Octagon, Greyscale's 'Gods are fallen and all safety gone' and last year, Max made his debut with The National Theatre and Complicite in 'A Pacifist's Guide to The War on Cancer'. Max then spent 2017 with Ramps on the Moon's production of The Who's 'Tommy' and Graeae's production of Reasons to be Cheerful.

Alongside this, Max is a very passionate musician and has been performing extensively as a solo artist throughout London over the past 5 years and recently composed/recorded music for an upcoming documentary 'Chalk'

Daniel Carter-Hope — Bodgit

Dan is a dyed in the wool Ipswich Town fan ever since he bought a retro Ipswich Town pint mug during last year’s rock and roll panto. He once supported West Ham for a few weeks but after five successive defeats Steve Simmonds begged him to stop.

Dan is excited to be back at the New Wolsey and for it not to be Christmas, having appeared in the last five rock and roll pantos. You can still get him a Christmas present if you like.

Recent work includes; Made In Dagenham (New Wolsey/Queens Theatre Hornchurch) Jackie the Musical (UK tour), several adverts for a well known fast food company and a short film featuring a man killed by his own duvet.

Dan hopes you enjoy the show with its excellent seventies playlist, and he looks forward to finding out if Ipswich can go all the way

Adam Langstaff — Dodgit

Adam trained at the Oxford School of Drama.
