#PULSE19 – Trying To Find Me

Performed on Sun 2 Jun

trying to find me marries Bridget Jones, Insecure and Blind Date.

A restless Ann paces her room full of shoes, clothes and stories. She’s trying to find those barriers in her life that stop her finding herself...but keep her trying to find a man.

Featuring movement and a club soundtrack trying to find me marries Bridget Jones’ Diary and HBO’s Insecure with Blind Date; exposing the secret, heart-breaking, funny and honest world of Ann — a black woman in her early 30s looking for love and in many ways, trying to heal.

Written and performed by Ann Akin, produced by tiata fahodzi in association with Talawa Theatre Company.
