Join us for the launch of Polly Gibbons' highly anticipated ninth album and the first of her own songs, "As It Is."
Twice-nominated as “Best Jazz Vocalist” by the BBC and Jazz FM, Polly's unique blend of soul, gospel, jazz and R&B has garnered her international acclaim. Originally from Framlingham, Polly burst onto the London music scene aged seventeen and has since toured the world, performing at illustrious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and opening for the likes of George Benson and Gladys Knight.
Recorded in Suffolk and mixed by childhood pal and Keane bass player, Jesse Quin, “As It Is” fulfills Polly's long-standing ambition to create an album of all her original songs. The album showcases Polly’s burgeoning skills as a pianist and songwriter, blending heartfelt stories of personal struggle and resilience with Polly’s characteristic wit and grace.
For this special performance Polly will be supported by an 8-piece band of world-class musicians including James Pearson, artistic director of Ronnie Scott's!
