Presented by the Appeal Theatre Group

2014 sees Appeal celebrate their 40th year and what better way to do it than with Oklahoma!

The first collaboration from Rodgers & Hammerstein II based on, Green Grow the Lilacs. Set in Oklahoma Territory outside the town of Claremore in 1906 it tells the story of Cowboy Curly and his romance with Laurey Williams.

OKLAHOMA! was the first musical to have its songs and story written at the same time, making them and the ballet integral to the plot and advancement of the story, a new concept in 1943. This is one classic which has truly stood the test of time.

What the public say

This was the funniest version of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic musical of life on the prairies I’ve seen.
