Meet The Creatives
Throughout the academic year there are opportunities for your students to meet leading industry creatives who are connected to our productions. This really is not to be missed!
One Man Two Guvnors: Physical Comedy and Clowning with Ian Nicholson
Meet Physical Comedy Director Ian Nicholson to discover his role in creating the laughs in our production of One Man Two Guvnors. Your students will get to explore physical comedy and clowning; find their funny sides and discovering the playful, silly and ridiculous in performance and in themselves. A wonderful opportunity to laugh, look at why we laugh and do more of it – all in connection with text from the show.
There are matinee and evening shows on this day to enable your students to connect the dots between the process and the finished product.
Ian Nicholson trained as a clown at École Philippe Gaulier, and as a director at the National Theatre studio. He has worked with the National Theatre, Nuffield Southampton Theatres, Birmingham Rep, Royal and Derngate Northampton and The Unicorn Theatre among others.
