What is Young Company?

We are excited to be launching the New Wolsey Theatre’s Young Company, a group for 16-21 year olds with a passion for theatre making and performance. You don’t need to have experience of being in a Youth Theatre – we are searching for people with the energy, drive, commitment, and ideas to create high-quality and challenging performance work in an innovative ensemble.

What will Young Company involve?

The company will work with industry professionals to explore a range of theatre skills and performance styles, and develop themselves as emerging artists and creatives. The Young Creatives Company will sit across our Youth Theatres and The New Wolsey Theatre’s Artist Relationship Programme. In addition to performance opportunities throughout the year ending with a mainstage production in August 2024, members will be invited to engage with selective moments of our broader Artist Relationship offer, such as networking events, Scratch Nights, R&D takeovers, and online masterclasses.

How do I apply for an audition?

Applications for Young Company 2023-2024 are now closed but if you would like to be put onto the mailing list, please follow the link below and be the first to know about applications opening for 2024-2025.
