Theatre, film and television: Wendy’s award-winning career is now in its 40th year and started out in musical theatre with the touring company London Bubble directed by Glen Walford. Wendy then went straight on to her second job in the John Schlesinger movie Yanks (Evening Standard Most Promising Newcomer Award) before going on to work extensively in film, television and theatre, starring alongside Geraldine James in Granada’s Jewel in The Crown. She most recently appeared opposite Sheila Hancock as Nancy in the feature film Edie. Theatre credits include the role of Irene in the world premiere of Hatched n’ Dispatched at the Park Theatre in 2015, and Hilary in The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband at Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch.
Writing and direction: Wendy’s film Mercy, which she has written and directed, has just gone into post-production.
Music: Wendy also plays in a ukelele duo, The Ukeledes, and sings in the 1960s Ronettes-style girl band The Starlettes who gig regularly around Essex.
