Richard lit the actor-musician Broadway Production of Sweeney Todd at the Eugene O’Neill Theater, New York, for which he won a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Lighting Design.

He is delighted to be working on this production of Goldilocks and the Three Bears here at the New Wolsey, having previously lit eight pantos in Ipswich! He also spent over 20 years lighting pantomime at York Theatre Royal. He is currently working on designs for Snow White at the New Wimbledon Theatre, London, Peter Pan at the Manchester Opera House and Celebrating Christmas with the Salvation Army at the Royal Albert Hall, London, as well as designing national tours for next year for Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour, Strictly Professionals and Strictly Presents.
