Richard is delighted to be back to work on Cinderella having previously lit Dick Whittington, Sleeping Beauty, Bedroom Farce  and Flower Girls at The New Wolsey Theatre.

Richard lit the actor musician Broadway Production of Sweeney Todd at the Eugene O’Neill Theater, for which he was nominated for an Outer Circle Critics Award and won a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Lighting Design. He was also nominated for a TMA Theatre Award for best lighting design for The Railway Children at the National Railway Museum and a DORA for the Toronto production.

Richard’s West End work includes actor musician productions of Sunset Boulevard, Sweeney Todd, The Gondoliers and Mack and Mabel, Carmen also productions of When Pigs Fly, Steptoe and Son, Horrid Henry Live and Horrid, Female Parts as well as The Railway Children at the old Eurostar Terminal Waterloo. UK National tours include Beautiful Thing, Wuthering Heights, Rasputin, Candide, The Hot Mikado, Canterbury Tales, Spongebob Squarepants the Sponge that could Fly, Accidental Death of an Anarchist, To Kill a Mockingbird and The Diary of Anne Frank.

Richard has recently lit the actor musician Fiddler on the Roof UK National Tour for Music and Lyrics, The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged) {revised} for The Reduced Shakespeare Company at The Leicester Square Theatre London now on UK National Tour, Legend of King Arthur for York Theatre Royal, Good People for English Theatre Frankfurt , Lisa Riley Strictly Confidential UK Tour for Phil McIntyre Productions and Stage Entertainment . He is currently working on designs for Aladdin for York Theatre Royal, Strictly Come Dancing Arena Tour 2014 for Phil McIntyre Productions and Stage Entertainment as well as Celebrating Christmas with the Salvation Army 2013 at the Royal Albert Hall.
