Laurann Brown

Laurann is a dynamic and highly experienced voice and dialect coach. Originally trained as a massage therapist, and then an actor, Laurann’s life-long passion for sound and meaning led her from Canada to London where she graduated in 2008 with an MA Voice Studies from Central School of Speech and Drama. Since that time Laurann has served as an Associate Dialect Coach at the Shaw Festival (Ontario, Canada); and taught at several London drama schools, including East 15, Rose Bruford, six years at The Urdang Academy – where she was Head of Voice, and is currently Voice Tutor at Arts Educational School.   Laurann has also honed her dialect coaching skills as a member of the team at Speak Easily – Accent Reduction Specialists. She maintains a thriving private practice with actors and corporate professionals alike.

For the New Wolsey Theatre Ipswich, she previously acted as dialect coach for on the 2011 production of Guys and Dolls.
