DAN ALLUM is currently collaborating with the BBC and Royal Opera House on a new stage production of CARMEN, developing a film script on a Creative England funded development programme, and acting as a consultant on GLUE (E4/Eleven Film). Romany Theatre Company performed a section from Dan’s new BBC radio production of CARMEN at the Royal Opera House in January 2014.
Dan created, and was lead writer on, the 36 part radio series ATCHING TAN broadcast on BBC East from 2008-10. His spin-off Afternoon Play of the same name for BBC Radio 4 was shortlisted for both the Richard Imison and Audio Drama Awards. He has since adapted THE DIDDAKOI for BBC Radio 4Extra and CARMEN for BBC Radio 4. Dan was also a member of the Royal Court Invitation Group, which led to a commission, and the Unheard Voices Project at BBC Writersroom.
