A Whole Week of Fun for Half Term!

9 Jan 2020 News

It may be only halfway through the term but there are some amazing activities coming up that make up for it!

Five of the East of England’s most exciting arts spaces are coming together this February half-term to present a variety of hands-on, cost-free*, family-friendly activities.

Whether that be…

  • holding a tune at Snape Maltings,
  • throwing shapes at DanceEast, Ipswich,
  • crafting costumes at the Norwich Theatre Royal,
  • applying gory stage make-up at the New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich,
  • or building your very own book at the National Centre for Writing, Norwich,

there’s something new to SEE, MAKE & DO for all ages this half-term.

Check visiteastofengland.com/see-make-do for information on what’s on when and T&Cs for each venue.

*all See, Make & Do daytime activities are cost-free. However, this offer does not extend to previously scheduled ticketed performances held at the participating venues.

What’s On at the New Wolsey Theatre?

Whether you want to watch a show or explore your creativity in a workshop, we have a selection activity available for all ages. Please note that workshops need to be booked in advance to avoid disappointment, as places are limited.

Get 25% off at our Stage Right Café between 15-18 Feb if you book a workshop. Families are also welcome to bring their own picnic on these days.

We kick things off with Messy, a show for ages 4-8 about messy children who find that their brains can sometimes be as messy as their bedrooms. Tuesday 18 Feb

If you’ve ever thought about running away to join the circus, why not check out Box, a dynamic acrobatic show for ages 4+ featuring impressive hand-balancing, playful acrobatics and a mysterious box of ticks. Then you might want to hang around, and upside down in the Box Handstands Workshop, for ages 5-10 with parent/carer supervision.
