We have recently replaced all 400 of our seats with comfortable new ones as part of an on-going building refurbishment programme. We plan to make further improvements to your theatre and to do this we need your help. You now have the opportunity to have your name or message on one or more of these new seats and for your donation to be acknowledged for years to come.

For a minimum donation of only £250 (spread over 10 monthly instalments if you wish) you can have an inscription engraved on a stylish name plate on one of these seats which we guarantee will stay in place for at least 10 years – the previous ones were here for more than 30!

If you are a local business, we ask that you name at least two seats – at a minimum donation of £500 in total – with additional seats at £250 each. You can book these seats for corporate entertainment, as well as boosting your company’s profile to tens of thousands of theatre-goers every year.

So far, dozens of individuals and local companies have named seats, with inscriptions ranging from anonymous messages of support, to company names, to ‘in memoriam’ messages for loved ones.

We will use all the money raised from our Name A Seat campaign to make The New Wolsey an even more pleasant and truly accessible place for you to visit both now and for years to come.
