It's all going on at The New Wolsey and our studio theatre over the next few days.
Yesterday evening we had two shows opening - one in the main house (Company FZ's We Can Be Heroes, a one-night intense physical theatre piece) and the other in our studio theatre (up in St George's Street, a few minutes from the main theatre) which was the opening night of Harold Pinter's classic drama The Dumb Waiter which is being presented by The New Wolsey Young Company until this coming Saturday 31 October. Opening night of The Dumb Waiter was sold out and you'll be lucky to get tickets for this evening or tomorrow but do check availability if you want to try to see it as it's had a great reception. I'm off to see it this everning, can't wait. More info here .
The JonziD company have arrived this afternoon to perform their two nights (this evening and Saturday 31 October at 7.45pm, main theatre in Civic Drive) of their latest show Markus the Sadist which has been going down a storm on tour. A rap opera, with strong language, Saturday night is actually the last night of their UK tour so you can be sure they'll be pulling out all the stops. A reminder that anyone under 26 can get tickets for only £5 on the door (evidence of age required) and further details of the show are here .
And we'll barely have drawn breath from these shows when this year's panto company arrive on Monday morning to begin rehearsing our biggest hitting show of the year, Aladdin - the wok 'n' roll panto. Watch this blog for updates. Two thirds of all tickets have already been sold but there's still time to make sure you get your ticket - and you can see more about it here .
