Musical flavours at The New Wolsey in October

Now that It's a Wonderful Life has finished its run (we were delighted to get 4-star reviews from both The Daily Mail and The Sunday Times and to receive such warm feedback from our audiences), we have a wide range of shows coming up for the rest of October, many of them with a musical flavour...

On Thursday 22 October, Adriano Adewale and his group are appearing for one night only (starting at 7.45pm) with a rich mix of world music, and a post-show party open to all ticket holders at which Adriano and some members of his band will mingle in the bar after the performance, complete with buffet and some complimentary drinks.  So if you fancy a laid-back night out in the company of world-class musicians and a party too, please see here for further details.

On Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October at 7.45pm, we welcome The Generating Company as they perform two stunning evenings of infectious, high engery drumming, dance and acrobatics - and with workshops available before the evening performances.  See here for more details.

Markus the Sadist (Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October) is a brand new rap opera presented by the renowned Jonzi D Productions.  This tale of a talented young emcee's rise from local battle champion to rap superstardom features Bashy (Most Inspiring Act - Urban Music Awards 2008) as Markus.  Please note this production contains strong language.  More here .

Our Pulse Fringe Festival (which will take place in May/June 2010) is now accepting applications from artists who work in a wide range of artforms.  Pulse 09 was selected as one of the UK's Top 50 Festivals by The Independent and sold 82% of all tickets.  So if you are interested in finding out more, please visit www.pulsefringe.com where you can also download an application form.
