We are well into the three-and-a-half week run of It's a Wonderful Life now and, with only ten days to go before the run ends on 3 October, it's surpassing our wildest expectations.
Audience reaction has been overwhelming, with many people returning to see the show several times, bringing new folk with them each time. One member of the audience I was talking to at the end of last week was here on her fourth visit! We have filmed a 1 minute video clip showing audience reaction which you can watch here . And it's not just audiences who are enthralled by the show - we've plenty of positive press reviews too, including a 4-star one from The Daily Mail. Read all the reviews here .
After the run of It's a Wonderful Life comes to an end, our season continues with our usual rich mix of visiting productions, including Spymonkey's Moby Dick (Thur 8 - Sat 10 October) which I'm off to see tomorrow at Northampton Royal and Derngate Theatres with one of our box office assistants. There's no better way of making sure that New Wolsey's marketing and box office staff really understand what the visiting shows are like than going to see them in a venue earliler in the tour. I'll keep you posted on this in the next e-newsletter which will go out in early October. If you're not already on our e-list, please either log in or subscribe , selecting 'E-List Newsletter' from the options.
If you are thinking of coming to see It's a Wonderful LIfe before it ends on 3 October, please note that all the matinee performances are now sold out but please call our box office on 01473 295900 or visit www.wolseytheatre.co.uk to check availability for all other performances.
