Its Monday 14th January 2013, 10am, the cast and crew of Mike Leslie's brand new psychological thriller 'And Then The Dark' are chatting away and having coffee in the upstairs bar at the New Wolsey Theatre for the first time together, it may be snowing and nasty outside, but inside there is nothing but excitement - the journey to create this epic thriller has begun.
We head over to the rehearsal space to check out our designer (Foxtons) take on this dark story and have a look at our wonderful costumes and set design - I only wish I could tell you some more or show you, but you'll understand when you see it - this is going to be dark. Our brilliantly creative and diverse cast bring it to life after our first read through - and with no time to waste the rehearsals begin.
As we head towards the end of our first week rehearsing there is already an eerie atmosphere coming to life, don't get me wrong, there are funny parts, sad moments, intensity, and of course, plenty of scary bits too....but don't worry after watching this I'm sure you will be able to sleep with the light off. Actually, don't hold me to that.
