Open Day
The New Wolsey Theatre presents a biennial Open Day that provides children, families, and adults in the community with the opportunity to participate in activities and events at the theatre, increase their knowledge of how the industry works, and deepen their ownership and engagement. It is a key part of our aim to demystify the experience of visiting the theatre, and also acts as a major part of our participatory engagement with the community.
Backstage Tours
Regular Backstage Tours will be offered when we have productions in the New Wolsey Theatre space for 1 week or more. There will be a minimum of 4 tours offered on a Saturday either prior to a matinee or evening performance, there will also be specific dates identified when we can offer school or group bookers a tour to enhance their visit. There is a fixed charge for each participant without any concessionary offers. The tour developed for both the industry days and the open days is well tested and engaging.
Post Show Talks
The New Wolsey Theatre offers its audiences the opportunity to get closer to the production they have seen through post show talks with the cast and creative teams. Attendance from the theatre or visiting companies is by prior agreement and the talks are available to ticket holders at no further cost.
